About Leasing

How is leasing different from traditional credit check financing?

In a traditional finance transaction, a financial institution funds another on your behalf. Once the funds have been borrowed, you make payments to the creditor, which can include finance charges like interest. In a lease purchase, you agree to lease your merchandise from Okinus. Okinus makes the purchase for the items you select, without sending funds to a retailer on your behalf. You then pay Okinus your renewal payments listed on your payment schedule, while using the merchandise. You are able to purchase the merchandise at any time to obtain ownership of the merchandise.

Will I be charged interest for leasing?

Your monthly payment is a rental payment. There is no amount of interest included with your renewal payment.

Applying for a Lease

What is required for me to apply?

You must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid checking account to apply with Okinus.

How can I apply?

You may apply on our website, in-person at your retailer, on your retailer’s website, through our app, by scanning our QR code, or you may call our office at 1-844-450 0221, and we can text you an application link.

Do I need good credit to apply?

At Okinus we believe everyone deserves a chance! Our proprietary decision engine doesn’t generate your lease purchasing power off of your credit score. We also help you rebuild your credit with our monthly credit reporting. Discover your leasing power and receive an instant decision by filling out our simple and secure application.

Do I need to be employed to apply?

No, we accept numerous sources of income such as social security, disability, unemployment, self-employment, retirement, and pension. We do not have a minimum income requirement.

What is the maximum I may be approved for?

We offer a variety of generous approval amounts that differ by category. Our typical maximum is $8,000.00. Fill out our application to find out your leasing power today!

What type of items can I apply for?

You can apply for furniture, appliances, electronics, jewelry, tires, water heaters, and HVAC units.

Why was I denied?

Okinus is a secure and confidential company. You will receive a confidential letter within 30 business days of your denial explaining your reason for denial. Our office staff will not have access to or be able to get access to your confidential information.

Lease Agreement

What are the maximum terms offered on an Okinus lease?

Okinus offers terms up to 24 months. The terms of your lease will vary based on your cash price and payment frequency. Please access our payment calculator to estimate your terms.

Can I pay my lease off early?

Yes, you may pay off your lease with Okinus at any time. You are not enrolled in any early purchase option upon signing your lease. To exercise an early purchase option, call or chat with a customer care specialist.

Where can I obtain a copy of my lease agreement?

You will be emailed a copy of your lease agreement to the email you provided after signing. You may overview your lease terms on our mobile app.

Alternatively, you may contact our customer care center at 1-800-472-1334 to obtain a copy of your lease agreement.

Can I cancel my lease agreement?

You are able to terminate your lease at any time with no penalty. The property must be returned to us in good condition and your account must be current at the time of the return. Please contact customer care at 1-800-472-1334 to make these arrangements.

Can I add items to my lease agreement?

Once your lease has been signed and your items have been delivered, you cannot add to your current lease. We will allow you to open another lease to use any remaining approval amount once you have paid 25% of your current lease.

Payment Details

How much will my payment be?

Your payment amount will vary based on your cash price, your payment frequency, and the terms of your lease. Your payment will be determined before signing your lease. For an estimated payment amount please view our payment calculator here.

Where can I make my payment?

Your signed lease authorizes automatic ACH deductions from the bank account provided on your application. If you need to make other arrangements please call our customer care center at 1-800-472-1334, 5-7 business days before your payment is due.

If you would like to make extra payments, you can download our mobile app, log into your online customer account, or over the phone by calling customer care at 1-800-472-1334.

Will I need an initial payment?

Your initial payment amount will vary by merchant, category, and cash price. Qualifying customers will receive a $0 down payment due at signing. Other offers can include $49.95 down or your full first payment toward your lease due at signing. Your initial payment must be made to the retailer upon signing your lease agreement.

How can I change my due date?

If you need to change your due date please call our customer care center at 1-800-472-1334, 5-7 business days before your current due date.

How can I arrange a payoff on my lease agreement?

A payoff on your lease agreement can be arranged by calling our customer care center at 1-844- 924-3009. You may also pay off your lease on our app or our website.
